Contract Length: 13 weeks

Full-scope Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDRP) RN role in an 8-bed unit.
Provide care across Labor & Delivery, Newborn Nursery, and Postpartum/Couplet Care.
Responsible for intrapartum management including induction/augmentation, high-risk labor monitoring, fetal heart rate interpretation, and circulating C-sections.
Participate in immediate newborn stabilization and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
Perform routine newborn assessments and postpartum/couplet care for stable mothers and infants.
Must function independently in a low-volume, high-acuity rural setting.
Flexibility to transition between labor, nursery, and couplet assignments based on census and staffing needs.
Floating within Women’s Services.
Patient ratios: 1:1 during labor, 3:1 for couplet care.
Must work one major holiday if assignment overlaps.
Maximum requested time off: 6 days within a 6-week period.
No call, no 48-hour option, no block guarantee (attempts made to accommodate).

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience.
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
Participation in neonatal resuscitation.
Ability to circulate C-sections.
Competency in high-risk labor management, including Pitocin titration.

Must be located more than 50 miles from the facility.
EMR systems used: GE Centricity Perinatal (CPN) and Medhost for orders, charges, and medication scanning.
Scrub color: Navy blue or pink.
