Travel Labor & Delivery RN

Location: Statesboro, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM, Every Other Weekend (EOW), call required

Job Description

• Provide nursing care during antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of obstetrical care to Labor and Delivery patients.
• Utilize the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
• Monitor and assist laboring patients, communicate with providers, and circulate in the OR for cesarean sections.
• Competently triage patients 20 weeks gestation and up.
• No floating required.
• Patient ratio: 1:1 or 1:2 depending on unit census.
• Unit size: 13 beds.
• Shift accountability includes critical thinking, scientific judgment, leadership, delegation, and supervision of assigned personnel.
• EMR systems used: CPN and Cerner.
• Scrub color: navy blue.
• Block scheduling may be accommodated if weekend shift is met.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience as a Labor and Delivery RN, with at least some experience within the last year
• At least 1 previously completed travel assignment in Labor & Delivery
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications

Call Requirements

• 2 twelve-hour call shifts every 6 weeks (one must be a weekend shift).

Additional Notes

• 48-hour guaranteed shifts are not approved.
