Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR) Circulator

Location: Crestview, Florida
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days, 4 shifts per week, 10-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM) with on-call duties

Job Description

As an Operating Room Nurse (OR Circulator), you will demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning and providing patient care in the operating room. You will collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, operating room technicians, and other staff to ensure safe and efficient surgical procedures. Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring availability of supplies and timeliness of cases
• Communicating with patient families
• Updating physician preference cards
• Scrubbing and assisting physicians during surgeries
• Supervising personnel delivering patient care

All duties are performed in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, AORN standards, regulatory requirements, physician orders, and hospital policies.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Florida
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
• Current ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Current PALS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience with surgical robotics

• Work schedule: Days, 4 shifts per week, 10-hour shifts with on-call responsibilities
