Cross Country Education is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher in Clinton Township, MI, to provide prep-period coverage, support diverse learning needs, and help maintain a positive, consistent classroom environment.
Position Overview
Provide classroom coverage during scheduled teacher preparation periods across assigned classrooms or school locations.
Deliver special education instruction and student support in accordance with established lesson plans and classroom routines.
Implement students’ Individualized Education Program (IEP) accommodations and support individual learning needs.
Adapt to varying grade levels, classroom environments, and student needs throughout the school day.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher
Valid Michigan teaching certificate with an appropriate special education endorsement
Fully licensed special education teachers are required; substitute certification alone does not meet the requirements
Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom settings, follow established instructional plans, and support students with diverse learning needs
