Description

Cross Country Education is seeking a compassionate and skilled Special Education Teacher in Puyallup, WA to provide individualized instruction, foster an inclusive learning environment, and help students make meaningful academic and behavioral progress.
Position Overview
Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs while ensuring compliance with applicable federal and state special education requirements.
Provide specialized instruction, curriculum adaptations, accommodations, and behavioral supports based on individual student needs.
Monitor student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and communicate effectively with families and multidisciplinary teams.
Collaborate with educators and support professionals to create a structured, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
Active Washington Educational Staff Associate (ESA) Certification with a Special Education Endorsement
Experience in resource, inclusion, or self-contained classrooms; familiarity with intensive needs populations and behavioral intervention strategies preferred
