Description
Position Overview
Evaluate students’ physical, gross motor, mobility, and functional needs and provide individualized therapy to promote participation and independence.
Deliver direct and indirect therapy services through classroom-based, individual, and group activities, using ongoing assessment and evidence-based interventions.
Develop and maintain progress reports, treatment plans, session documentation, and other required records while monitoring student progress and adjusting services as appropriate.
Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary team members to integrate therapeutic strategies into the school environment and support successful student inclusion.
Qualifications
Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree
Valid New York State Physical Therapy License
Valid National Provider Identifier (NPI) number
Experience working in a school setting with students with disabilities, along with strong collaboration and communication skills
