Description
Position Overview
Provide skilled nursing care and health support to students throughout the school day, responding to medical needs and emergencies as they arise.
Monitor students’ health status and provide appropriate nursing support to those with acute or chronic conditions, including pediatric diabetes.
Administer medications and treatments as ordered while maintaining accurate and timely documentation.
Collaborate with teachers, school staff, families, and healthcare providers to communicate health needs and coordinate appropriate student care.
Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
Active New York State Registered Professional Nurse (RN) License
Current American Heart Association CPR/First Aid Certification
NYSED fingerprint clearance required
Experience caring for pediatric patients, including familiarity with pediatric diabetes management
