Description
Position Overview:
Provide skilled nursing care in a school-based setting by supporting daily health office needs, responding to illnesses and injuries, and covering staff absences.
Administer scheduled medications, conduct health assessments, and maintain accurate daily health logs in accordance with district protocols.
Provide one-on-one nursing care to students with specific healthcare needs on an as-needed basis.
Collaborate with school staff to promote a safe, healthy learning environment while supporting compliance with individual student health plans.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN), Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Practical Nursing diploma
Active New York Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) License
Current CPR and First Aid Certifications
Previous experience in pediatrics or school nursing preferred
Comfortable adapting to different school environments and day-to-day assignments
