Position Overview
Provide 1:1 specialized instruction to a student with autism in a neutral community-based setting, such as a local library.
Develop and adapt individualized lessons and activities to support the student’s academic, developmental, and educational goals.
Implement positive, individualized strategies to support engagement, self-regulation, task completion, and successful participation in learning activities.
Collaborate with the student’s educational team to align instruction and support strategies, monitor progress, and promote consistency across learning environments.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education, Education, or a related field
Valid Pennsylvania Special Education Teaching Certification
Experience working with students with autism and/or behavioral or emotional needs, with the ability to provide patient, individualized support in a 1:1 setting
