Description
Position Overview
Provide specialized instruction and educational support to K–12 students who are deaf or hard of hearing, addressing individual communication, academic, and developmental needs across school settings.
Develop and implement individualized lessons and interventions aligned with students’ IEP goals, communication needs, and learning styles.
Collaborate with general and special education teachers, related service providers, and families to support student progress and access to the curriculum.
Monitor student progress, adjust instructional strategies as needed, and maintain appropriate documentation to promote meaningful educational outcomes.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Deaf Education, Special Education, or a related field
Valid Pennsylvania Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) Certification (Required)
Experience providing educational services to K–12 students who are deaf or hard of hearing, preferably in a school-based setting
