Cross Country Education is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse in Clinton Township, MI, to provide dedicated 1:1 support to a student with complex healthcare needs and help them safely participate in their daily school activities.
Position Overview
Provide dedicated 1:1 nursing support to a pediatric student throughout the school day, including assessment, monitoring, and responding to changes in condition.
Monitor and manage the student’s individual healthcare needs, including seizure management, rescue medications, pediatric diabetes care, diabetes insipidus, oxygen/airway support, and medication administration.
Follow individualized healthcare and emergency action plans, recognize changes in the student’s condition, and respond appropriately in the school setting.
Collaborate with school staff and healthcare personnel to support continuity of care, maintain student safety, and remain prepared to respond to emergencies and carry required rescue supplies as needed.
Qualifications
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Valid Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) License
Current BLS/CPR/AED Certification
Pediatric nursing experience with strong assessment, critical-thinking, and independent decision-making skills
Ability to work independently in a school-based environment and respond appropriately to student healthcare needs
