Cross Country Education is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) in La Plata, MD, to provide individualized therapy and collaborate with school teams and families to support students’ mobility, independence, and success.
Position Overview
Conduct formal and informal assessments for Pre-K–12 students, focusing on gross motor development, functional mobility, adaptive skills, and activities of daily living.
Create and implement therapy goals and services through IEP/IFSP processes, including recommendations for therapy frequency, intensity, accommodations, and equipment.
Partner with educators, families, related-service providers, medical professionals, and community partners to support students’ participation, mobility, independence, and access to learning.
Complete therapy documentation, evaluations, progress reports, and Medicaid billing while meeting regulatory and service timelines.
Qualifications
Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree
Current Maryland Physical Therapist license issued by the Maryland State Board of Physical Therapy
Experience with school-based evaluations, IEP/IFSP development, multidisciplinary collaboration, and consultation with families and educational staff preferred
