Make a lasting difference in the lives of students preparing for life beyond the classroom! Cross Country Education is seeking a dedicated School Social Worker to support students in a special education transition program in the Howell, MI area for the 2026–2027 school year.
Position Overview:
Provide social work services and individualized support to students participating in a transition program designed to promote success in employment, postsecondary education, and independent living.
Conduct assessments, develop goals, and implement interventions that address students' social, emotional, behavioral, and transition-related needs.
Collaborate with students, families, educators, community agencies, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate services and support successful transition outcomes.
Maintain accurate documentation, participate in planning meetings, and ensure compliance with applicable special education and transition services requirements.
Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW)
Valid Michigan Social Worker License
Active Michigan DOE School Social Worker Certification
Experience working with adolescents or young adults with disabilities, particularly in transition planning, special education, or related settings (Preferred)
