- Progressive Care Nurse, Surgical Stepdown Nurse, Stepdown Nurse or Intermediate Care Nurse (2 years)

Description
Minimum of two (2) years of recent PCU nursing experience in a Level 1 Trauma Institution in a metropolitan city with a diverse population
Certifications: CA RN license, AHA BLS, MAB or CPI, LA Fire Card
Provide an intermediate level of care for patients who are not stable enough for a general medical-surgical floor but do not require the full intensity of an ICU.
Patients commonly include those recovering from major surgeries, but not limited to, serious medical conditions such as renal failure requiring dialysis and/or kidney transplant, oncology therapy, or those transitioning out of the ICU after stabilization.
The PCU is equipped for close monitoring, often including telemetry for dialysis, kidney transplant observation, frequent vital sign checks, and rapid response to changes in condition.
RNs will provide continuous cardiac monitoring, frequent assesment of patient status, administration of medications and IV therapies, wound care, and pain management.

MediPro Job ID #52242-1. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
