Description
- Demonstrates the ability to evaluate patients, plan care, provide treatment, assess progress, adjust goals and treatment plans, and make discharge recommendations as per the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) guidelines.
- Ensures consideration of the age and developmental level of patients in all aspects of care.
- Demonstrates current knowledge and expertise in patient care.
- Responds to new evaluations within the specific time frame stated in the Policies and Procedures for various areas of work.
- Remains alert to changes in patients’ conditions and the work environment, responding appropriately.
- Provides accurate, timely, and consistent documentation of patient care, patient/family education, and response to care in the medical record.
- Ensures all patient care goals are measurable and include a specific timeframe for attainment.
- Plans, provides, and maintains a safe environment for patients, staff, and families.
- Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy
- Florida Occupational Therapist License
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Open to hiring both new graduates and experienced Occupational Therapists. For experienced candidates, preference will be given to those with expertise in relevant areas, including but not limited to Hospital-based Rehabilitation, Outpatient Rehabilitation, Pediatric Rehabilitation, and other specialized areas. Must demonstrate a strong foundation in clinical skills, patient-centered care, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
