Description

Job Description

As a cytologist, also called a cytotechnologist, you'll analyze samples of cells under the direction of a pathologist. Working in a laboratory at a hospital, private practice, outpatient center or other healthcare facility, you'll process samples, view cells under the microscope, detect cellular changes, process patient data and more. You'll play a critical role in maintaining sterile conditions, preventing disease, and helping patients get the treatment they need.

Minimum Requirements

  • At least 1 year of recent experience in relevant setting and specialty
  • ASCP Certification
  • BLS Certification (AHA)
  • Current state license (if applicable)
