Job Summary:
Nuclear Medicine Technologist in Atlanta, Georgia. This position involves performing general nuclear medicine and PET imaging procedures in a healthcare provider setting. Candidates are required to bring their active license on the first day of employment.
Job Details:
- Location: Atlanta, Georgia
- Specialty: Nuclear Medicine Technology
- Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine or certification from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB); active license as applicable; 0 or more years of experience in the field
- Preferred Qualifications: 3 to 5+ years of experience in nuclear medicine preferred; proficiency in both General Nuclear Medicine and Positron Emission Tomography (PET) imaging; ability to float between nuclear medicine and PET studies including direct patient care and indirect responsibilities such as patient reminder calls
- Additional Information:
- Typical volume: over 10 nuclear medicine studies per day and 1214 PET/CT scans per day
- Common procedures include whole body bone scans, lung scans, gastric emptying studies, renal scans, HIDA scans, thyroid uptake, thyroid whole body scans, DAT scans (brain), lymphoscintigraphy, and parathyroid scans
- Equipment: GE and Siemens systems
- Duration: 13 weeks assignment
- Call requirements include one weekday per week (4:30 PM 10:00 PM) and one weekend per month (Saturday/Sunday, 7:00 AM 10:00 PM) with minimal callback volume
- Parking cost: $75 per month
