Job Summary:
The Interventional Radiology Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) Technologist position is based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The role involves working in a high-acuity, fast-paced Cath Lab that performs diagnostic and interventional cases, including peripheral procedures, TAVRs, and other complex interventions. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. This position offers varying shifts, including 8-hour and 12-hour options, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Job Details:
- Location: Milwaukee, WI
- Shift Hours: Varying shifts, 8 or 12 hours, typically from 0800-2030 or 1200-2030
- Minimum Hours Per Week: 40 hours
- Required Qualifications: 3 years of experience; BLS, ACLS, Wisconsin license, and certifications in radiography (ARRT(R)), and RN (if applicable). Preferred certifications include NIHSS and RCIS.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with conscious sedation, titrating/managing IV drips, scrubbing, and panning; hybrid procedure experience (e.g., TAVRs, Watchman) is a plus.
- Orientation: 1 week of orientation
- Scheduling: Based on departments 24/7 staffing pattern; travel schedule may include weekend call every 2-3 months, with up to 7 days of call and a 30-minute response time.
- Patient Ratios: 1:1 during procedures
- Float: None required
- Additional Information: Travelers will solely work within the Cath Lab environment, supporting procedures such as diagnostic and interventional cases, with skilled teams managing patient care and supplies. The AAH fatigue policy applies, limiting work hours to 60 per week or 5 consecutive 12-hour shifts. Scrub colors are provided, and parking is free.
