Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in Bakersfield, California. This role involves performing a variety of imaging studies, including cardiac scans, bone scans, and gastric emptying procedures, with a focus on quality patient care. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.

Job Details:

Location: Bakersfield, California
Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support)
Education Requirements: Not specified
Years of Experience: At least 2 years of experience in nuclear medicine imaging
Shift: Days, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, minimum of 40 hours per week
Department specifics include use of Radnet and Merge Unity imaging software and hardware from GE, Phillips, and Siemens systems
Department has one scanner/room
May be floated to additional locations such as Mercy Downtown (approximately 6.5 miles away)
Department Supervisor or Lead Tech in place
Radiologist in-house
No IV starts required in this department
Call: Rotating after 4:30 PM on weekdays and rotating weekends
Scrubs: Teal, provided by the facility
Cancellation Policy: The hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for shorter assignments, with full hours paid in lieu of cancellations if applicable
Charting System: Cerner
License Submission: Yes
Trauma Level: Not specified
Care Setting: Acute division
Shift Notes: Days; 8:00 AM 4:30 PM; on-call rotating with others
Additional Information: On-call rotating with other staff
