Description

Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. This position involves providing respiratory care in a busy medical center setting, including pediatric and neonatal units, with a focus on critical care. Candidates are required to bring their North Carolina license on the first day of shift.

Job Details:

Specialty: Respiratory Therapist Registered
Schedule: Night shift from 18:30 to 07:00, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Valid North Carolina license, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications, minimum of 2 years of critical care respiratory therapy experience; 0 years of minimum experience may be acceptable for certain candidates.
Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in a Level 1 trauma center and/or high acuity organizations is preferred.
Float: Float rotation may be required based on department needs and traveler experience.
Additional Information: No on-call required. Weekend rotation every other weekend. Travelers will work 75% of holidays. RTO (Request for Time Off) requires manager approval. Department culture emphasizes excellent teamwork among experienced members and leaders.
Patient Types: Care includes post-surgical patients, pneumonia, COPD, asthma, and ED patients.
Technology/Equipment: Experience with EPIC electronic medical records; familiarity with equipment such as Servo U, Servo Air, The Vest, Volara, Aerogen, Heated High Flow, cough assist, HFJV, and HFOV is preferred.
