Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RRT) Pediatric Critical Care (RT PEDS) Baltimore, Maryland. The respiratory therapist role provides critical care respiratory services with a primary focus on Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) patients while supporting mixed age levels in accordance with clinical needs. Candidates must be able to manage ventilated patients across neonatal, pediatric, and adult age groups. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

  • Schedule: 3x12-Hour nights (19:0007:30); minimum 36.0 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (NRP or American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) accepted); Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification; Current Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification; Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential; Minimum of 2 years of respiratory therapist experience; Experience required with all age groups (neonates, pediatrics, and adults); Level 3 and/or 4 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience required; Pediatrics/Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) experience required; Emergency Department and Level 1 Trauma or Med/Surg intensive care unit adult-care experience required (department may place staff in adult care settings aligned with experience and skillset)
  • Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Level II experience; Charting system experience (Epic preferred); Prior Community Hospital experience; Prior LTAC experience
  • Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: Must be comfortable caring for mixed age levels. Jet high frequency ventilation is expected in the NICU setting, with multiple jets commonly in use at the same time.
