Description

Job Summary:
The Ultrasonographer Echo is a specialized cardiac sonographer position located in Macon, Georgia. The role involves performing echocardiography examinations, including transthoracic, transesophageal, fetal, stress tests, and assisting with various cardiac procedures. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of work. The position supports a high-volume department with an average of 40-60 patients per day and requires providing preliminary findings for physician review.

Job Details:

  • Location: Macon, Georgia
  • Schedule: Days, 10-hour shifts, 0800-1830, with a modified self-schedule in 6-week increments.
  • Required Qualifications: Certified or registered with ARDMS-RDS or RDCS, valid BLS certification, and at least 0 years of experience. Experience with patients including pediatrics and adults, inpatient and outpatient, performing echocardiograms, assisting with pericardiocentesis and other procedures, and measuring accurate ejection fractions.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Fetal scan experience and stress test experience. Ability to orient new hires is also preferred.
  • Float: None required.
  • Additional Information: The department includes 2 echo suites and 2 TEE rooms, supports large structural programs including CHF, pre/post catheterizations, surgeries, and more. The candidate may be on call one night per week, with call only on major holidays, and may be asked to respond within 30 minutes. Orientation includes a week of facility and unit training, with a buddy system during the process. Scrub color is black, and parking is free.
