Job Summary
The Ultrasonographer specialized in Echo (Ultrasonographer Echo) position is located in Macon, Georgia. This role involves performing cardiac ultrasound procedures in a busy inpatient and outpatient setting. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification and ARDMS-RDS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography - Registered Diagnostic Sonographer) or RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) certification. Minimum of 2 years of acute care echocardiography experience. Candidates must have experience with Peds and adult patient types, assisting with pericardiocentesis and other procedures, and measuring accurate ejection fractions (EFs).
- Schedule: 10 hours per day, Day shift, 0800-1830, minimum 40 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Will also perform bedside scans for inpatients. Responsibilities include supporting a large structural program including procedures such as CHF, pre/post catheterizations, CABG, Watchman, TAVR, PFOs, bubble studies, aortic stenosis, mitral regurgitation, stroke patients, ER patients, TEEs, and stress tests. Must be comfortable doing Peds scans and generating preliminary findings in a modifiable report for physician review. Fetal scan and stress test experience are preferred. On-call responsibilities include one night shift per week with physician approval required for callbacks, and call on major holidays with department open on holiday eves.
