Description
Job Summary:
A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in inpatient care is required at a healthcare facility located in Jamestown, North Dakota. The role involves assessing and treating communication and swallowing disorders across all age groups, including performing swallow assessments and video fluoroscopy. Candidates are expected to demonstrate competent care skills and possess the required licensure and certifications. Candidates must bring their license on the first day of work.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. A 40-hour guarantee is provided unless time off or holidays are requested and not covered.
- Required Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year of experience performing swallow assessments and utilizing video fluoroscopy equipment; active ASHA Certification (CCC); North Dakota license; BLS Certification.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in post-acute care settings and working collaboratively with Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Audiology teams.
- Float: Float rotation may be required to cover other units or departments, primarily outpatient with occasional inpatient coverage and rare home health assignments.
- Additional Information:
- The position is for the only Speech-Language Pathologist on staff in the department.
- Relevant equipment includes electronic medical records (EMR: EPIC, TIMS).
- The facility utilizes a business casual dress code.
- No specific cancellation policy applies.
- This role is a part of a post-acute care setting within a 25-bed critical access hospital.
- The employer is willing to wait for the license submission.
