Job Summary:
The city of Boston, Massachusetts, is seeking a Respiratory Therapist specializing in Pediatric (RT PEDS) for an upcoming assignment. This role involves providing advanced respiratory care to critically ill pediatric patients within the healthcare facility. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position offers an opportunity to contribute as an active member of the patient care team, delivering clinical assessments and therapeutic procedures tailored to pediatric patients.

- Required Qualifications: Valid Respiratory Therapist license, with no minimum experience requirement.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with pediatric patients is desirable.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: Acts as an active member of the patient care team to provide clinical patient care assessment, initiation, modification and discontinuance of therapeutic respiratory care procedures to critically ill patients. Analyzes and evaluates clinical patient data to determine the appropriate therapy or interventions and makes recommendations on patient care plans to the medical staff. Initiates and/or assists with appropriate respiratory tests and procedures, responds to respiratory emergencies, transports mechanically ventilated patients, prepares care plans, schedules treatments, and modifies treatment care plans based on clinical response. Performs bedside rounds and administers Respiratory Care modalities accordingly.
