Description
Job Summary:
Physical Therapist Inpatient (PT-IP) position in Bethel, Alaska. This full-time role involves providing comprehensive inpatient physical therapy care across all patient age groups and diagnoses within the scope of practice. The position emphasizes evidence-based treatment plans, cultural competence, and professional conduct, supporting the organizational mission to deliver quality patient care.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Must hold a Bachelor's degree from an accredited physical therapy program. No minimum clinical experience required. Must be licensed in good standing in Alaska as a Physical Therapist or have completed all appropriate Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT) paperwork to work as a Student Physical Therapist post-graduation while studying to take the licensure exam. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Preferred Qualifications: Hospital-based experience applicable; ability to read, analyze, and interpret physical therapy periodicals and medical literature; effective communication with medical staff and diverse patient populations; proficiency in MS Office, email, and internet research.
- Additional Information: Travelers are required to show proof of completed COVID-19 vaccinations. Orientation begins on a Tuesday, so initial guaranteed hours may not apply during the first week.
