Description
Job Summary:
Inpatient Physical Therapist position available in Bethel, Alaska. This role involves providing full-time outpatient and inpatient physical therapy care across all patient age groups and diagnoses within the scope of practice governed by the State of Alaska. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position supports the organizations mission to deliver quality patient care in a culturally respectful environment.
Job Details:
- Location: Bethel, Alaska
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree from an accredited program in Physical Therapy; current license in good standing in Alaska as a Physical Therapist, or appropriate FSBPT paperwork completed to work as a Student Physical Therapist post-graduation; current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ability to read, analyze, and interpret physical therapy periodicals and medical literature; ability to compose patient care documentation and medical correspondence; effective communication skills with medical staff, peers, administrative personnel, and culturally diverse patients; proficient operating a personal computer including MS Office programs and email; capable of accessing medical literature via the internet; mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply, divide, compute rate, ratio, and percent, and interpret graphs; ability to solve practical problems based on limited standardization; ability to interpret instructions furnished in multiple formats.
- Additional Information: If the guaranteed hours are 40 per week, the first week they will not receive guaranteed hours due to orientation starting on a Tuesday. All travelers are required to show proof of completed COVID-19 vaccinations.
