Description

Job Summary:
Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist located in Tacoma, Washington. This 19-week contract position involves working in a pediatric cath lab focusing on pediatric congenital diagnostic and interventional procedures, as well as electrophysiology cases. The role requires strong experience with pediatric cath procedures and monitoring, supporting a specialized team in a level II pediatric trauma center.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 0700-1730; 10-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) and/or Cardiovascular Interventional Specialty Certification (CISC), with a minimum of 2 years of experience, prior pediatric cath lab experience, and licensure for the State of Washington
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with pediatric congenital diagnostic and interventional procedures, electrophysiology procedures including pacemaker implant and generator exchanges, EP study with radiofrequency ablations, and monitoring experience with PACS (Picom) and Hemodynamic (Merge) systems, as well as experience with the electronic health record system EPIC Cupid
  • Float: No
  • On Call: 7 call shifts within a 3-week rotation, including weekday and weekend call, with a 45-minute response time; call includes weekend coverage approximately 1-2 weekends per month, every third week
  • Additional Information: This role requires handling complex pediatric cardiology procedures with oversight from anesthesia for sedation. Scrubs will be provided by the hospital, including lead, although extended sizing may be limited for lead scrubs. The position is located at a 82-bed level II pediatric trauma center with one catheterization and electrophysiology laboratory.
