Description
Job Summary:
The position of Senior Physicist is based in La Crosse, Wisconsin. This role involves collaborating with senior staff to maintain and improve the Quality Assurance (QA) program in accordance with national standards, evaluating and implementing new technology and techniques, and providing radiation safety education to staff. Candidates are required to bring their medical license on the first day of assignment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 8-hour shifts with variable start and end times between 6:30 AM and 6:00 PM. Minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Master's Degree or Doctorate/PhD. Certification from the American Board of Radiology (ABR) in Therapeutic Medical Physics or an equivalent from the American Board of Medical Physics in Radiation Therapy Physics. At least 5+ years of experience in the specialty. Experience with Aria, Eclipse, and Truebeam is required. Experience with Epic electronic medical record system preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Doctorate Degree.
- Float: Float rotation may be required at Gundersen Tomah Clinic.
- Additional Information: The candidate must start the medical portion of compliance within 48 hours of accepted offer, or within 24 hours for a quick start. The unit handles VMAT, SRS, SBRT, and 3D planning procedures. The orientation week is not guaranteed for GSA.
- Interview Schedule: Monday through Friday, with manager phone interviews and MSP interviews.
