Description

Job Summary:
Interventional Radiology Technician position available in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The role involves scrubbing and assisting in complex interventional radiology procedures, circulating operating equipment, and providing needed supplies. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day and should have a minimum of two years of experience specifically related to Interventional Radiology (IR) body or neuro procedures at a Level 1 Trauma Center.

Job Details:

  • Location: Winston-Salem, North Carolina
  • Specialty: Interventional Radiology
  • Schedule: 3-12 hour shifts, 4-10 hour shifts, or 5-8 hour shifts with working hours typically from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Required Qualifications: BLS certification; ARRT-R or RCIS certification; 2 years of experience specific to IR body/neuro at a Level 1 Trauma Center; valid license
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with Siemens, GE, and Philips imaging systems, as well as GE ultrasound units; familiarity with complex embolization procedures, thrombectomy, thrombolysis, and Y-90 treatments
  • Additional Information: Department operates 8 interventional radiology rooms with an average of 45-50 cases daily. Tech extenders and support staff assist with room turnover, paperwork, transport, and inventory. The department culture is very team-oriented, with a focus on preceptorship for new graduates and a requirement to work 75% of scheduled holidays. The department is a designated comprehensive stroke center with a high volume of neuro and body trauma cases.
