Description

Job Summary:
Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist position located in Bakersfield, California. This role involves performing procedures within a STEMI receiving facility, supporting cardiac, vascular, neuro, and interventional cases. The position requires a dedicated operator skilled in conscious and moderate sedation, procedural processes, airway management, and cardiac drips, contributing to high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 10-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week, with rotations including weekends and first to float as needed.
  • Required Qualifications: Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification, BLS (Basic Life Support), Fluoroscopy certification, 2 years of cath lab experience, ability to perform procedures involving conscious and moderate sedation, airway management, and cardiac drips such as Integrilin, dopamine, and vasopressors.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with balloon pumps and working within a high-volume cath lab environment.
  • Additional Information: The cath lab features five suites dedicated to coronary, peripheral, vascular, neuro, and electrophysiology cases. The technician will assist with cases averaging 10-22 per day. The role involves supporting a team with a lead tech responsible for room assignments, and coverage includes rotating call shifts, including weekends. Certification requirements include ARRT, BLS, and Fluoroscopy. The employer provides a radiation badge, and the position is in an acute care setting.
