Description
Job Summary:
A Physical Therapist (PT) specializing in outpatient orthopedics is needed in Canon City, Colorado. This full-time outpatient position involves managing 45-minute one-on-one treatments, evaluations, and recurring schedules in a small community outpatient rehabilitation setting. Candidates are required to bring their Colorado Physical Therapist license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Colorado Physical Therapist license, Bachelors or higher Degree in Physical Therapy, at least 2 years of outpatient orthopedic experience, current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with acute inpatient, acute rehab, skilled nursing, or outpatient settings.
- Additional Information:
- Hiring process includes a profile review with MedSol Clinical and an interview with the unit manager at the facility.
- Clinicians must be in the state for the week of orientation, even if first-day modules are remote.
- The assignment is limited to a 26-week contract.
- The department covers outpatient therapy with a focus on orthopedic cases, treating a variety of diagnosis types in a small community outpatient rehab setting.
- Self-scheduling and block scheduling are not permitted; shifts are as agreed upon within the established hours.
- No weekend or holiday requirements.
- Department-specific orientation is provided.
- The department dress code is business casual.
- The facility can cancel up to 4 shifts within a 13-week assignment, or 3 shifts if less than 13 weeks.
- Charting is performed using the EPIC electronic medical record system.
- License to Submit: Yes.
