Description

Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist (RT PEDS) in Hilo, Hawaii. This position involves providing respiratory care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients, including ventilator management, physician consultation, and other respiratory procedures. Candidates are required to bring their Hawaii respiratory therapist license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

Location: Hilo, Hawaii
Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist), BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) with NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) preferred, State of Hawaii respiratory therapist license. Minimum 2 years of experience in respiratory care. Must have Hawaii license by the start of the assignment.
Schedule: Day Shift (0630-1900), three 12-hour shifts weekly, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. No guarantee of hours.
Additional Information: Position urgency is normal. Candidates must arrive the Thursday before the start date to attend the employee health appointment on Friday. No first assignments.

Other responsibilities: Provide airway management, ventilator management, physician consulting, CPR, and all aspects of respiratory care utilizing equipment such as computerized charting, Pyxis medication management, PB 980, PB 840 ventilators, V60, and Para Pac Transport Vent.
