Description

Job Summary:
Occupational Therapist (OT) Inpatient position in Eureka, California. This role involves working within a healthcare facility serving a rural community, providing therapy services to a diverse patient population with varying diagnoses. Candidates are required to bring their valid California license on the first day. The position offers an opportunity to work with generalized populations, including acute and chronic disorders, and functional activities.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, shift hours are 8 hours, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid California license in hand, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, and at least 1 year of experience in acute care, adult rehabilitation, or related settings.
  • Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support).
  • Experience: Experience with acute disorders, chronic disorders, and functional activities is required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with standardized assessments, feeding techniques (oral/motor), and Epic (electronic medical record system) charting experience.
  • Additional Information:
    • Travel experience and willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year) are required.
    • Travelers may be expected to float between hospital and affiliate facilities nearby.
    • Travel compliance details: SSN, DOB, and RTO must be included at submission; only submit to one location within the region; and follow a 50-mile local radius rule.
    • References: Two references covering at least one year (six months for CNAs) within the last three years are required.
    • Travel and housing logistics should be coordinated prior to arrival.
    • Modules (training) are non-billable, typically averaging 16 hours, and should be completed pre-start and annually.
