Description

Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered position in Boston, Massachusetts. This opportunity involves providing advanced respiratory care in an adult critical care and emergency department setting. Candidates are required to bring their Respiratory Therapist license and registration on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

  • Location: Boston, Massachusetts
  • Specialty: Respiratory Therapist Registered
  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, every other weekend, 2 call shifts per week, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Respiratory Therapist License, Registered Respiratory Therapist certification, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, a minimum of 2 years of experience, proficiency in advanced ventilator management including esophageal balloons, PV loop interpretations, driving pressure assessment, and best PEEP maneuvers. Experience with hospital ventilators such as Hamilton G5, C6, T1, MR1, Phillips EV300, and INO vent, and knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems like EPIC. Must be available to work on-call as necessary.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in adult critical care and emergency department environments, Level 1 trauma center experience in a 400+ bed hospital, an understanding of trauma, neuro, medical, cardiac, surgical ICUs.
  • Additional Information: No local travelers will be accepted; candidates cannot reside within 50 miles of the facility. Orientation is weekly on Mondays. Travelers who have worked for the organization as perm or travel, per diem within the last 6 months, are ineligible unless separated from the facility for 6 months. Parking costs up to $43/day. All RTO requests must be presented at time of submission.
