Job Summary:
Nebraska-based healthcare organization seeks a qualified Ultrasonographer Echo (Ultrasound Technician specializing in echocardiography) for an acute care setting in Omaha, Nebraska. This role involves performing cardiac ultrasound procedures, acquiring high-quality echocardiographic data, and supporting patient care. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.

Job Details:

Location: Omaha, Nebraska
Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, with call as needed, minimum of 40 hours per week
Required Qualifications:
- High school education or equivalent
- Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education/experience from an accredited cardiac ultrasound program
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Prior cardiac and/or vascular ultrasound experience in a healthcare setting
- Minimum of 3 solid years of cardiac sonographer experience (will consider 2 years if at an academic teaching hospital)
- At least 2 years of travel experience
- Registered in cardiac ultrasound (ARDMS; RCS via CCI acceptable)
- Must have a valid license to submit
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Experience with ultrasound equipment, transesophageal transducers, and hospital information systems
- Knowledge of cardiovascular and vascular principles including physics and blood flow hemodynamics
Additional Information:
- Non-billable orientation hours: 12 hours; guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation
- Call-Off Policy: Client may call off up to 36 hours every 13 weeks with 2 weeks' notice
- Charting System: EPIC
- BSN: Not required
- Trauma Level: 1
- Care Setting: Acute division
