Job Summary
A General Ultrasonographer located in Foxborough, Massachusetts. This role involves operating ultrasound imaging equipment to acquire diagnostic images, communicating findings to physicians, and ensuring patient safety and comfort. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position requires flexibility to support departmental needs and may involve rotating among different locations, including on-call, holiday, and shift rotations.
Job Details
- Location: Foxborough, Massachusetts
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per shift, minimum 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Trade/Technical/Vocational Diploma in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Other Certificate/Diploma in Diagnostic Imaging; Associates Degree in Diagnostic Imaging preferred; Licenses include Certified Sonographer (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)), Sonography R.T.(S)(ARRT) (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists), or Radiologic Technologist and Technician State License (Generic). Ultrasound scanning experience with multiple patient populations preferred; 0-3 years of experience preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: ARDMS or ARRT certification; leadership experience (0-1 year).
- Additional Information: Must have problem-solving skills and the ability to modify scan techniques for optimal image quality. Responsible for patient and exam verification, maintaining clinical performance, participating in research and quality improvement projects, and collaborating with team members to ensure efficient patient care. The candidate should be capable of guiding, teaching, and motivating others.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Position Description: Under general supervision and following established procedures, operates ultrasound imaging equipment to acquire images and communicates sonographer impressions to interpreting physicians. Exercises independent judgment, maintains effective communication, and participates in departmental initiatives and rotations.
