Job Summary:
The Physiotherapist (PT) specialized in inpatient care in Lubbock, Texas, is responsible for providing acute care physical therapy services across various units within a short-term acute care facility. The role involves implementing therapeutic interventions, patient education, and assessments tailored to adult and geriatric patient populations. Candidates are required to bring their valid state license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

  • Location: Lubbock, Texas
  • Start Date: June 22, 2026
  • Shift Schedule: Days, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week involved
  • Required Qualifications: Valid State License (compact license must be in hand at submission), at least 1 year of experience in acute care settings, certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Certifications: BLS
  • Experience: 1 year of acute care outpatient clinic, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing facility experience; experience with specific conditions such as cervicalgia, low back pain, post-operative surgeries, spinal conditions, orthopedics, neurology, and more; familiarity with EMR systems, specifically Epic
  • Patient Care Responsibilities: Patient assessment and evaluation, discharge planning, home exercise programming, patient and family education, and use of assistive devices such as gait belts, hospital beds, sliding boards, and gait training
  • Additional Information: Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities nearby the contracted facility. Refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment and forfeiture of guaranteed hours. Candidates must commit to working three of the five major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day).
  • Process Notes: Candidates must answer whether they have worked at a Providence facility previously and provide two references covering a one-year period within the last three years.
