Description

Job Summary:
The position of Physical Therapist (Inpatient) is based in Lubbock, Texas. This role involves providing acute care physical therapy services within various clinical settings, including inpatient units, outpatient clinics, rehabilitation hospitals, and skilled nursing facilities. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

  • Location: Lubbock, TX
  • Shift Hours: 8 hours per day
  • Minimum Hours Per Week: 40 hours
  • Start Date: 07/06/2026
  • Required Qualifications: Valid compact license in hand at submission, at least 1 year of experience in acute care settings, and certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Special Skills and Experience: Experience with acute care, outpatient clinics, rehabilitation hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and proficiency in clinical assessments, patient education, and equipment such as hospital beds, gait belts, and sliding boards. Familiarity with EMR system Epic is required.
  • Certifications: BLS required
  • Additional Requirements: Candidates must have at least one year of experience in an inpatient or acute care setting.
  • Schedule: 8-hour shifts, 40 hours weekly, beginning on the specified start date.
  • Patient Population: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
  • Key Responsibilities: Conduct assessments, discharge planning, patient evaluation, and provide education on home exercise programs, neurological and orthopedics conditions, and mobility. May work with patients suffering from conditions such as cervicalgia, low back pain, spinal surgeries, strokes, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, traumatic brain injury, and other neurological and orthopedic diagnoses.
  • Additional Information: Candidates must be willing to work 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).
