Description
Job Summary:
Histologist in Atlanta, Georgia. This position involves working within the pathology laboratory, specializing in tissue processing, embedding, sectioning, and staining slides. The successful candidate must bring their license on the first day and have the required qualifications.
Job Details:
- Location: Atlanta, Georgia
- Schedule: M-F 8:00 PM - 4:30 AM, minimum 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: A minimum of 2 years of experience within the specialty (Pathology Laboratory), successful completion of a formal histology technologist training program or an Associate's degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences, and active ASCP (HT/HLT) certification
- Preferred Qualifications: Not specified
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The role involves receiving specimens from surgery, accessioning into Cerner, collecting blocks from PA staff, processing tissue, embedding, cutting, and staining slides as part of the pathology department. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
