Job Summary:
Radiology Specialist Assistant in Watertown, New York. This role involves providing patient care services under the supervision of a physician in an interventional radiology setting. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position offers an excellent opportunity to apply clinical expertise across the lifespan and support a dynamic healthcare team.

Job Details:

Location: Watertown, New York
Schedule: Days shift, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, minimum of 40 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Graduate of an approved course of study acceptable to the New York State Education Department; Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field; certification as a Radiologist Assistant (RA) or Physician Assistant (PA) with radiology focus preferred; current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiography; additional certifications in CT, Ultrasound, or Interventional Radiology (e.g., RRA - Registered Radiologist Assistant) are highly desirable; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred; no minimum years of experience required.
Responsibilities include performing fluoroscopic procedures such as barium studies, joint injections under fluoroscopic or ultrasound guidance, paracentesis, thoracentesis, ultrasound-guided biopsies, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure safety and quality of patient care.
Additional Information: The position involves maintaining confidentiality of protected health information, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and documenting procedures accurately.
