Description
Job Summary:
Radiologic Technologist position in Omaha, Nebraska. This role involves performing diagnostic imaging procedures, including fluoroscopy, portable X-Rays, and C-Arm procedures, primarily in an emergency department setting. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position requires a minimum of two years of clinical experience, preferably with trauma experience, and candidates must be proficient in trauma, imaging, and portable X-Ray procedures. The work schedule includes four 10-hour day shifts with one weekend every four weeks, along with call hours.
Job Details:
- Location: Omaha, Nebraska
- Schedule: four 10-hour day shifts, with 1 weekend every 4 weeks, and 12 hours of call per month; minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: ARRT (Radiologic Technologist), BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, Nebraska state license, minimum of 2 years of clinical experience with trauma preferred, proficiency in trauma, imaging, portable X-Rays, fluoroscopy, and C-Arm procedures, experience working in a trauma level I setting or equivalent.
- Preferred Qualifications: Trauma experience, proficiency in fluoroscopy and C-Arm procedures, ability to float between Emergency Department and Diagnostic Department.
- Additional Information:
- Non-billable orientation hours: 12 hours (orientation not billable, guaranteed hours will not apply during orientation)
- Call-off policy: client can call off an equivalent of 36 hours every 13 weeks
- Local candidates are not accepted; a 100-mile radius restriction applies
- Typical patient volume in emergency department: 20-25 patients per shift
- No support staff except on floors; responsible for portable X-ray procedures and some portable equipment
- Dress code: Red uniform, hospital scrubs provided for surgeries
- Training: On-the-job training starting with NEO and departmental orientation
- Must be a self-starter with good team skills and adaptability to changing situations
- Charting system: EPIC electronic medical record system
- Trauma Level: Level I
- Care Setting: Acute care
