Description

Job Summary:
Occupational Therapist (Inpatient) in Tucson, Arizona. This position involves planning, organizing, and supervising occupational therapy treatments in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, regulations, and guidelines. The healthcare professional will assess patients' levels of function, develop personalized treatment plans, participate in interdisciplinary discharge planning, and supervise clinical staff and students. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

  • Location: Tucson, Arizona
  • Schedule: Days, 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid and current state license; minimum of 2 years of experience; previous inpatient rehabilitation experience; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required prior to first shift
  • Responsibilities include assessing patients, developing and implementing treatment plans, supervising Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and students, documenting care, participating in team conferences, and ensuring safety and quality standards are upheld.
  • Promotes a safety-focused environment, emphasizing safe patient handling, infectious disease control, slips/trips and falls prevention, and work environment safety practices.
  • Demonstrates effective communication, teamwork, and a customer service attitude towards patients, families, and staff.
  • Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned, including discharge planning, equipment recommendations, and adherence to safety and documentation policies.
