Description
Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist (RT) Registered position located in Frankfort, Kentucky. This role involves providing specialized respiratory care in an acute care hospital setting, including services in emergency, intensive care, and neonatal intensive care units. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.
Job Details:
- Location: Frankfort, KY
- Shift: Nights
- Hours: 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid Kentucky state license; certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) (if not available, on-site training can be provided); zero years of experience required
- Preferred Qualifications: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn NICU procedures and protocols
- Additional Information: The unit is a 174-bed acute care hospital with specialties including ED, ICU, and NICU. The department utilizes Hamilton C-1 bipap, airvos, and Avea ventilators. Staff self-schedules in a four-week cycle, with every other weekend required. The facility is a level 3 trauma center, stroke center, and level 2 NICU with primary PCI accreditation. New equipment includes bipaps and aerogen ventilators.
