Description

Job Summary
Nuclear Medicine Technologist located in Wausau, Wisconsin. This position involves performing general nuclear medicine studies, including common exams such as bone scans, renal scans, HIDA, gastric emptying, thyroid, lymphoscintigraphy, cardiac, and parathyroid scans. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The assignment begins as soon as possible and is scheduled for a 13-week contract.

Job Details

  • Qualifications: Associates' degree or certification, BLS certification, ARRT (N) or CNMT certification (AHA or ARC certifications required by Aspirus). Minimum of 1-2 years of experience. Candidates should have knowledge of doing SPECT/CT and/or PET/CT scans. Siemens equipment experience is a plus.
  • Schedule: 8-hour shifts, varied start times, Monday through Friday. Guaranteed hours per week: 40 hours.
  • Additional Information:
    • The traveler may be required to float to other facilities if needed.
    • GSA hours are not guaranteed during orientation week.
    • Guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays when the unit is closed.
    • Travelers can be put on call for low census hours, which will count toward the 36 hours of unbillable low census hours.
    • Call back minimum: 2 hours.
    • During flu season, travelers declining to be flu and COVID-19 vaccinated must wear masks at all times per Aspirus policy, with no exceptions.
    • Proper scrubs in any color or print are acceptable, provided they are clean and work-appropriate.
    • The position requires experience with Symbia Evo SPECT, Symbia Intevo SPECT/CT, and Capintec Thyroid probe, with Siemens Biograph Vision X PET/CT scanner experience preferred.
