Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist specializing in pediatric respiratory care is sought for a facility located in Ypsilanti, Michigan. The role involves providing comprehensive respiratory therapy services, including patient assessment, treatment administration, equipment operation, and patient education. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position requires working night shifts, with an every-other-weekend commitment.

Job Details:

• Location: Ypsilanti, Michigan
• Schedule: Night shifts, every other weekend, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid Respiratory Therapist (RT) Registered license; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; 0 years of experience required
• Preferred Qualifications: Not specified
• Additional Information: Provides intensive respiratory care including operating ventilatory equipment, performing chest physiotherapy, suctioning, monitoring oximetry and capnography, reviewing chest x-rays, conducting pulmonary function studies, assisting with procedures, performing tracheostomy care, arterial puncture, and following laboratory testing policies, in accordance with facility protocols. Performs cardiopulmonary resuscitation and manages endotracheal tube procedures, ventilatory equipment setup, and maintenance. Accurately documents all treatments and communicates effectively with medical staff.
