Description
Job Summary:
Radiation Therapist position in Washington, District of Columbia. This role involves preparing and applying ionizing radiation to patients in accordance with prescriptions from Radiation Oncologists, operating Radiation Oncology related equipment such as CT simulators and linear accelerators, and accurately delivering prescribed radiation therapy plans following departmental protocols. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Location: Washington, District of Columbia
- Schedule: Days; 8 hours per shift; minimum 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Completion of high school or GED or college, registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), current CPR certification, and at least 2 years of experience in radiation therapy. Experience with Elekta equipment is a plus.
- Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: Candidates must note if they have previously worked in any capacity for any health care facility within the Johns Hopkins system. If previously employed as staff, on a PRN, or in a travel capacity, they must be gone for a full year before applying to a travel position.
