Description

Job Summary:
Occupational Therapist Outpatient position located in Detroit, Michigan. This role involves evaluating and treating patients with physical, emotional, cognitive, and psychosocial deficits. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The assignment is scheduled to start on June 22, 2026, and may be extended.

Job Details:

Address: Detroit, Michigan
Schedule:
- 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Four 10-hour shifts: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday
- Four 10-hour shifts: Sunday through Wednesday
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
- Acute care experience preferred; willing to train new graduates
- BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire or transfer date
- American Heart Association Rehabilitation Therapist specializing in Occupational Therapy (OTR) credential from the Michigan Board of Occupational Therapists obtained prior to hire or transfer date
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with inpatient rehabilitation setting
Additional Information:
- This engagement is for 8 weeks with the possibility of extension and/or converting to a full-time equivalent position
- Candidate must have experience with inpatient rehabilitation
- Skills include assessing patient ability, designing and implementing plans of care, documenting progress, educating patients and families, and overseeing therapy assistants and technicians
- Please specify on the candidate's cover sheet which schedule they are interested in, as there are two positions available
