Job Summary:
A Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in inpatient care is sought in Morristown, New Jersey. This role involves performing patient assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing therapy services to enhance communication, swallowing, and cognitive functions. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day and demonstrate excellent patient care skills in a home health or hospital environment.
Job Details:
- Location: Morristown, New Jersey
- Specialty: Speech Language Pathologist Inpatient
- Schedule: Days shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications:
- Current New Jersey Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) license
- Graduate of an accredited speech and language program with a minimum of a Masters degree
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in acute, subacute, or home care setting
- Preferred Qualifications: N/A
- Additional Information:
- Home health experience required
- Use of personal vehicle is required for home visits
- Assumes responsibility for case management and demonstrates knowledge of home care regulations and insurance reimbursement guidelines
- Acts in compliance with agency policies, documentation standards, and regulatory requirements
- Participates in team and interdisciplinary team meetings and collaborates effectively with healthcare providers
- Provides patient and family education tailored to age-appropriate teaching methods
