Job Summary
The Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT Registered) position is located in Asheville, North Carolina. This role involves providing specialized respiratory care within a busy hospital setting that offers advanced services including neonatal intensive care, adult critical care, and pediatric services. Candidates are required to bring their North Carolina Respiratory License on the first day. The position involves working nights, with varying weekend shifts.

Job Details

Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Specialty: RT PEDS (Respiratory Therapist Registered - Pediatrics focus)
Schedule: Nights; minimum of 36 hours per week, including at least 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
Required Qualifications: Valid North Carolina Respiratory License, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
Preferred Qualifications: Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
Additional Information:
- Number of Staff: 15-20 RRTs for Adult service lines and 3-4 RRTs for NICU/Pediatric service lines on day shifts; 12-16 RRTs for Adult service lines and 3-4 RRTs for NICU/Pediatric service lines on night shifts.
- Patient Ratios: 10 - 25 patients.
- Equipment Used: GE R860 adult ventilators, Draeger infant/pediatric ventilators, Newport HT70 transport ventilator, V60 non-invasive devices, Vapotherm, and Comfort Flow high flow oxygen devices.
- Department Location: Main RT department on the hospital's floor A343.
- Typical procedures performed include respiratory assessments and ventilator management in critical care settings.
- Float: Float rotation may be required across all critical care units and floors.
