Job Summary:
A Mammography Technologist position is available in Richmond, Virginia. The role involves performing screening and diagnostic mammography procedures in a Breast Diagnostic Center. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. This assignment is approved for a 26-week contract.
Job Details:
- Location: Richmond, Virginia
- Schedule: Days shift, Monday through Friday with start times at 7:30 or 8:00 am, ending around 4:00 or 4:30 pm. Additionally, a half-day shift on Saturday approximately every 3 to 4 months.
- Required Qualifications: ARRT certification in mammography, current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, ability to work independently performing screenings and diagnostic exams, excellent patient care skills, and ability to work on a team. No specific years of experience are required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Not specified.
- Float: Float rotation may not be required.
- Additional Information: The position involves working in a Breast Diagnostic Center equipped with Hologic machines, including contrast-enhanced mammography (CEM). The environment promotes a team-oriented approach, with staffing composed of unit secretaries and tech availability. Technologies used include Penrad, Sectra (images), Ambry (high risk breast program), and Expanse (registration/demographics).
