Description

Job Summary:
Physical Therapist (Inpatient) position available in Salt Lake City, Utah. The organization is seeking a dedicated and skilled professional to join the acute care rehabilitation unit. The candidate will provide specialized therapy services for patients with neuro, multi-trauma, and medically complex diagnoses. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of the assignment.

Job Details:

  • Certifications: BLS (up to date), MSPT or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program, successful completion of the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE), Utah Physical Therapist license.
  • Education: MSPT or DPT degree from an accredited PT program.
  • Location: Salt Lake City, Utah.
  • Years of Experience: 0.0 years minimum required.
  • Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours.
  • Shift Hours: 12 hours per shift.
  • Schedule: All shifts are 10 hours. Start times between 7:00 am and 8:30 am. Shifts include mid shift (9:30 am - 8:00 pm) and late shift (10:30 am - 9:00 pm).
  • Required Qualifications: Candidates must have a good understanding of neuro, multi-trauma, and medically complex diagnoses. Ability to complete thorough chart reviews, understanding lab values, weight bearing precautions, and therapeutic procedures. Flexibility, good documentation, strong communication, time management skills, and teamwork are essential. Prior experience with mobility devices, lift systems, back braces, UE/LE positioning devices, and application of precautions is required.
  • Additional Information: The assignment involves neuro re-education, gait training, balance, wheelchair training, cognitive re-education, vestibular training, energy conservation, ROM and strengthening exercises, orthotic use, home safety, and family training. Cross-training on a supplementary unit may be available to support staffing needs.
